Today we are talking with Gennaro Cuofano, who not only has an awesome accent but runs an amazing site called FourWeekMBA.com. Ever since we hung up with our guest, we have completely nerded out on his site, as he does super deep research on every brand in the world. He basically looks at businesses and reverse engineers them by digging into their financial statements, how they get their traffic using various SEO tools, and then writes up these detailed blog posts about their entire business model. He dives into where their revenue comes from, where he sees them headed, and basically everything you could want to know about these businesses. The cool thing is it's very objective as he consumes content like crazy.
Gennaro checks out a slew of business models, everything from affiliate marketing, freemium and subscription models, just to name a few. Imagine how many new concepts you’ll be able to come up with, or perhaps your customers have been asking for a specific model, but maybe you don’t know how to build it. We’ve recently been talking about the affiliate model and when we started digging around on Gennaros’ site we realized there is a lot more affiliate business than you realize, some being multi-billion-dollar companies. After you’ve listened be sure to check out our shows with Nate Broughton and David Sinick for even more content, research, and keyword strategies.
“If you think about business today, Google, Facebook, and Amazon, those are actually the gatekeepers of distribution. You are going through those gatekeepers to earn your customers, so you better understand how they work. ” - Gennaro Cuofano

We are back today with another awesome Therapy Session which we recorded literally right at the airport and before grabbing a flight back from Florida where we attended Rich Schefren’s “Coalition To Save Internet Business” live stream event where it was a who’s who in internet marketing. We got to share the cigar bar stage with such guests as Russell Brunson, Dean Graziosi, Jeff Walker, Dennis Yu, Perry Marshall, and Mike Fillisame among many others.
We first attended a great mastermind, then shortly after that, Rich held his 24-hour live stream, where there were literally billions of dollars of net worth under one roof (plus thousands of dollars of alcohol and cigars). Listen in as we discussed some cool tactics we learned as well as insights into what makes some of the internet’s most successful entrepreneurs tick. We also talk about imposter syndrome, the importance of authenticity, and some of the many things that make Agora so prosperous. When you’re done listening, be sure to revisit the show we did with Rich Schefren as well as the show we had with Curt Maly where we talk more in-depth about best practices for moving your business forward as well as some additional Facebook ad strategies.
“Most of them are some of the friendliest, giving people and they are willing to share their tactics...that is why they succeed because they are so freely giving and if you ask them a question they are an open book.” - Matt Wolfe
“So as we talked to a lot of people around this event, you came to realize that the imposter syndrome is a real thing no matter what level you are at.“ - Joe Fier

We’re back! And in today's episode, we are chatting with Molly Mahoney of The Prepared Performer, who is legendary for her Facebook marketing skills. She’s a wizard at doing Facebook lives and getting organic reach. Listen in as we touch on Facebook ads and how Molly is able to get high ticket coaching clients, also right from Facebook. She is a wealth of knowledge and she also has a pretty cool deal with BeLive.tv where she's part of their team too. We have been trying to figure out how to get attention organically on Facebook, which has been dwindling for all of us lately, and Molly gives us some killer advice as she checks out our pages and answers our questions right on the show. She audited our Facebook fan page in real-time (and the results were not pretty), but you’ll be able to hear our new roadmap.
We also discuss how to grow Facebook groups, how to get interaction on Facebook pages with her four step process for that, the value of your Facebook personal profile and what you can and can’t do with it. She also talks about the “social triangle”, crucial live strategies with a process to follow to get more engagement when you do go live, and she breaks down how she launched her camera confidence course. After you’ve listened be sure to check out our shows with Nicholas Kusmich and Curt Maly for even more tips on how to get the most out of your Facebook strategy.
“You want to ask engaging questions and you want to use the 80/20 rule with links. If you do a link, put it in the messenger bot so it causes people to engage first and then they get the link, otherwise, you are just driving traffic off of the platform.” - Molly Mahoney

We are back and in this episode, we got the chance to speak with Kamal Ravikant, someone we’ve wanted to chat with for a while, so we arranged our schedules to make this happen. This guy has lived many lifetimes already, and he’s experienced lost, distilled what he's learned from it and provides practical ways which helped him to improve his life and others in a very simple way. You may recall he put out a book called “Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It “. We dive into the reasons why he wrote the book, the backstory and you’ll hear how his story was not what we expected at all in regards to how he got to where he is today.
Kamal got so much feedback from his book which went viral, he decided to go back and rework it, adding some step by step advice, so it’s very fresh new content. It’s an expanded version with a boatload of practical advice including an actual manual in the book on how to proceed. Each step is broken down and he told us that he has not only learned a lot but gets a ton of feedback from people who reach out to him (he actually includes his email address in the book)! His ideas are not only powerful but the simplicity of it all is a winner.
As you listen, you will hear us share some of our own struggles and Kamal’s input to those. You’ll also hear how even though he is deep into business, his talk is so intertwined and starts with making sure you have your stuff together internally. When you are done, be sure to check out some of our previous shows dealing with mindset and business with Nancy Marmolejo and Aaron Fletcher.
“It was in that moment of darkness, where I had nothing left to want to go on, I made a decision that I was going to get out of it. And how I did it, I don’t know where it came from but I wrote a vow to myself in my journal. It was a vow to love myself.” - Kamal Ravikant

Today’s show was a fun one to record, as we actually met in person with Rich Schefren, who was one of the first online marketers that we learned a lot from early on in our career. When we were starting out we picked up his free ebook, which has gone out to millions of folks by now.
It was an honor to meet up with Rich and prior to this, we’ve had a lot of calls with him, as we are helping him currently with all sorts of podcasting insights. Listen in to hear about Rich’s upcoming new show, The “Secrets of Being Rich”. Also, in this interview, you’ll notice how he’s a master researcher, and learn about his in-depth processes for speed reading and digesting content to see patterns and trends for the future. You’ll also hear more about his upcoming event, the Coalition to Save Internet Businesses (which we will also be speakers at) and why everyone should attend.
There are changes afoot and these big companies have monster control, so Rich lines out his expertise and future trends of how to make sure you’ll not get screwed by some of these trends that may blindside you. You are definitely not going to want to miss this live stream as well as this episode if you are concerned about the future of your business. After you listen, be sure to check out our shows with Ryan Deiss and Matthew Woodward for more about future trends in the digital marketing world.
“Very early on I realized it was better to be different, than just better. That’s always been consistent with all the stuff that I do.” - Rich Schefren

We are back with another awesome show with Theo Lucier with a boatload of information! You may remember we had Theo on previously and his episode was super popular as we talked about sleep, having more energy and the best supplements to take. As we come into the seminar season when a lot of events are happening, we realize that those events can be really draining as there’s a change in diet, you are away from your normal routine and you’re on your feet all day. If you are attending these events, we talk about how you can counteract these things.
We also highlight how to prep yourself at home or at the office, and there’s a lot of supplement talk, habits, and practices - both free and paid stuff. You’ll have everything you need to not only succeed at home but also feel your best away from home as well. We also love getting feedback on this type of stuff, so let us know what you think about this subject and/or what types of subjects you’d like us to ask in the future and what types of topics you want us to cover. After you are done, you’ll definitely want to check out our previous show with Theo as well as our show with Joe Cohen for even more tools to add to your health and wellness library.
“Let’s just focus on your body first, because you don’t have to think about it, just do certain things and your body is provided the conditions it needs to begin repairing itself...and before you know it you can think more clearly and that’s when you have the energy and the willpower.” - Theo Lucier

We are back and on today’s show, we are chatting with Doc Williams, an awesome guy who approached us to be a guest on our show. We couldn’t say no as we realized he came with so much value and a model that was easy to follow, that we really wanted to share it.
Doc comes across as someone who has lived many lifetimes, going through a variety of businesses through the ages (even though he’s close to our age). He’s worked with ESPN, AppSumo, an Olympic medal team, he ran his own CrossFit gym, even a candy store! He’s done so many interesting things in his life, and he’s one of the very few people who have made the cut through reaching out to us directly with his model. He’s also worked with VaynerSports and is clearly someone who makes stuff happen.
You’ll hear how Doc takes the concept of creating content, which can be super time consuming and leans into what your personality is best suited for, then repurposing that content in a way in which you are getting it in front of the right people. You’ll also learn which channels are working and how to set up your own content funnel to keep it as simple for you so you don’t get overwhelmed trying to be everywhere, all over the various social media channels. After you are done, check out our talks with Paul Clifford and David Sinick as we discuss content syndication, content upgrading and speeding up the process for promoting and creating content.
“If the opportunity is there, I just try to listen as much as possible...how could be of use.” - Doc Williams

On our last show with Chris Krimitsos we chatted about his podcasting event, Podfest. At a lot of events we’ve attended, there's a lot of chest pumping but Podfest was the first event where the consensus was more about supporting each other and collaboration. Ever since then, we’ve been obsessed with the Podfest community and started to ingrain ourselves into the podfesting world because we love that perspective so much.
In today’s show, we dive into how awesome Podfest is, why you should definitely attend, all the cool swag and raffle items they have there, the special event that we are hosting this year, and so many other details that really sets this event apart.
On the business idea side, just consider how many ideas are still roaming around in your brain, waiting to be acted on. What if you started that thing you always said you’d do, even if it was imperfect? We also chat about Chris’ book Start Ugly, how he got the idea, who the main characters are based on in real life, and why it’s important for everyone to read it because of these very reasons and more.
When you’ve listened, be sure to check our previous show with Chris as well as our show with September Dohrmann for more tips on how to get the most out of attending events as well as for building systems not only for marketing events, but your business in general.
“You think because someone is more successful than you, they figured it out. The problem is everybody reaches a limit and they forget to start ugly again.” - Chris Krimitsos
