What a great conversation with Mark Lack from ShortenTheGap.com, who is such a baller! We first connected with Mark in the Steal Our Winners program, which is awesome and highly recommended. He’s been talking about the model which we are very interested in, and we love the fact that he broke down the tactics of what we have been discussing in our business lately. We talk a lot about YouTube and if you are seeing a lot of people talking about getting yourself on YouTube, it’s still not too late. Facebook is being more restrictive than ever whereas on the Google/YouTube platforms, we feel they are giving us more opportunities to build out your brand and your flywheel.
We love the way that Mark thinks, as he’s a branding guy. He talks about how he was studying the legends at a young age, while he was becoming one of the world’s most well-known paintballers. He then discusses why you need to use marketing for not only your audience, but throwing your marketing budget and time at the guests and brands you want to connect with. And if you are just starting out and don’t have any episodes to show to sponsors, he’ll let you know what to do there as well. When you’re done listening, be sure to check out our other shows with Lisa Buyer and Justin Schenck for some additional chats on how to connect with the right folks while building your brand.

We are back for round two with Marshall Sylver, where we had another amazing conversation which we recorded at his Certainty Theater. If you are listening to this episode, make sure you check out the video version at HustleAndFlowchart.tv because you can see behind the scenes of what it looks like inside the Certainty Theater where Marshall runs his stage hypnosis shows. This was a completely different look from most of our videos, so make sure you check this one out.
Marshall talks about the time he put Joe to sleep on stage, how he has pivoted with his training while still making a huge impact with his students and his analogy of winning both blackjack and at business. He also dives into what he refers to as a new type of podcast and why this method is so enticing. You’ll hear how he became one of the most successful closers today and how he is making a huge difference in his students lives. Want more? Go check out our previous conversations with John Assaraf and Marx Acosta-Rubio for more insight on how to harness the power of our brain to accomplish goals.
“It’s the same thing in any business, that if you are not in front of a target rich environment – a prospect that would want what you are selling and could afford to buy it – you are wasting your time.” – Marshall Sylver

We’re changing a lot of things up over here at Hustle & Flowchart. We’re in the middle of a rebuilding phase, completely overhauling almost everything in our business.
In this quick episode, Matt breaks down one of the big topics we’re going to start to put a ton of focus on. Today we’re talking about Web 3 and decentralization. It’s something that we can avoid anymore. We talked about it with Michael Taggart back in 2017 and we circled back around with Joel Comm in 2021. The first time, our brains weren’t ready for it. We didn’t know what to do with the information other than just throw some money at some cryptocurrencies.
Now, it’s finally clicking and we can’t avoid talking about it. The pandemic has accelerated the Web 3 journey to mainstream and it’s only a matter of months before it becomes the normal way that people do things. This changes everything and those that are still ignoring it or writing it off will really regret that decision in the near future.

Joe is on board today with an important, snackable episode. He’s talking about real, heartfelt stuff, since, as entrepreneurs, digital marketers and those of us who work behind the screen deal with life a little differently than folks who work a traditional job. We have different social aspects that come our way and the last two years have had us in all our bubbles. Joe tells a story from his side of things, and how it’s affected him and what he's learned over the last two years.
He discusses why the last two years have been the most pivotal for both him and our business, in terms of clarity and finding out who we are. We have chatted on the podcast a lot about mental health and this subject is more important than ever. If you find this information helpful, please pass it along, as our goal is to bring this discussion to light and help as many people as possible. Once you are done, be sure to listen to our chats with Anthony Trucks and Angelo Sisco who share their stories of overcoming obstacles and how to put yourself in the right frame of mind.

You are going to love our chat today with Ty Cohen, a longtime entrepreneur, who is now taking over the world of online publishing. There’s a lot of money to be made with Amazon Publishing, and whether you are a writer or not, Ty teaches people how to get your books published in the world’s biggest online bookstore. His students consist of writers who want to get their content out to the masses, authority figures who publish in order to get leads for their courses and high ticket offers, as well as people who use ghostwriters to publish a series of books with a huge audience behind them.
Listen in as Ty talks about what niches to publish in, how to find out what your audience is reading before you pick a subject, and how he teaches his students to market. He also discusses where to advertise, how to repurpose your content and where to find people to write for you as well as create audio books. Lastly, Ty chats about some opportunities he has outside of the publishing world and his thoughts on NFTs and leaving a legacy. After you have listened and realized the opportunity behind publishing, check out our chats with Laura Gale and Rob Kosberg for even more insight and vision into the world of self-publishing.
“In internet marketing we always hear that you want to go with the niches, which is fine sometimes. But when you want to make a lot of money…when you want to be to the point where you are continuously making cash where it’s hard to shut it off, you want to go where the markets are wide and evergreen.” - Ty Cohen

We’re back with another Therapy Session! In this episode, we consider renaming our show (just kidding!) and dive into some of our takeaways from attending the Traffic & Conversion Summit. It was a great event and there was a LOT going on. We chat about how we set up our booth, some things we learned about the ins and outs of renting a booth, how we changed our tactics as the event went on and some of the amazing people we chatted with while we were there.
There were some things we did purposely to make sure our booth was not only one of the most inviting and interesting ones there, but attracted great conversations with attendees and sponsors alike. We also dive into several a-ha moments we got while attending the event and why we have changed our goal for the future. If the idea of making amazing connections to further your business growth excites you, check out our conversations with Justin Schenck and Gary Henderson for more insight into growing your network and connecting with influential people.
