We are finally rolling into the frequency of recording new episodes, where once a week we will have an episode with a guest, and once a week it’ll be just the two of us chatting about insights in our own business, things we are consuming, and what we are learning from other episodes as wells as from our team. In this episode, we are talking about some of the ways we are approaching business and life that are making things quite nice and everything more fun and profitable.
We also chat about how we’ve been able to structure our days in order to take advantage of the 80/20 rule, how we are focusing on the 3 main things in our business, how we’ve hired some amazing people lately to handle specific tasks so that we can focus on the things we do best as well as how our team is super dialed in now, which has really helped to propel our business forward. After you’ve listened, be sure to check out the shows we referenced with Geoff Woods and his take the 80/20 method of structuring your day and our show on Unapologetic Affiliate Marketing Strategies.
“There’s a good mental clarity with us now. The team’s rolling and managing themselves...and we are dialing in our systems.” - Joe Fier

We’re back with another awesome show, chatting with Travis Chappell, host of Build Your Network Podcast and creator of Guestio. Travis is a guy that we could have easily chatted with for another hour and what came out of this show was way better than we anticipated. We discussed how to get the big name guests on your show, how to interact with them and encourage them to share the show afterward, how to network and build relationships with them, and how to create big events with past guests. He’s got a great philosophy when it comes to networking and while there’s a lot of things you can’t track such as the shoutouts from people you collaborate with, there’s also a lot of intangible benefits that happen down the road, such as investing, referrals, and advisory relationships.
We love his idea of hosting dinners and bringing people together and we also love how he created his own reality for success as he used to live in a bubble growing up. Travis discussed his research methods and how he has put hours into it before the guest shows up, noting some key things to pick up on, so you can chat about the things which will make your guest light up. After you have enjoyed this show, check out the chats we referenced with Jordan Harbinger and Luis Diaz for even more ideas on how to network with the people you want in your circle and growth hack your podcast up the charts.

We have the wonderful Victoria Song on the show today, and one of the big topics we discuss is how, through her coaching, she has talked to people who have made millions of dollars, yet feel empty inside, and how it definitely seems to be a common thing among the high achievers. Victoria warp speeded her own journey, coming from the V.C. world as a super achiever, and is now on a journey to do more and help people who have created hugely successful lives, but still feel unfulfilled. She delves into why we need to discover the things that really light us up and how to go about doing that in such a way where the path will eventually reveal itself.
She also talks about how to focus on your awareness and your emotions to make you feel less fragile so you can let go of trying to control life while staying calm in times of uncertainty. Victoria even walked us through some coaching on the show, where we talked about constricted energy patterns arising from past events, and how to use her framework to get past it. It’s all about consistency and we’ve integrated a lot of these techniques ourselves lately to realize our patterns and get into more of a state of flow where we are leaning more towards our focus on having fun with the business. After you have listened, you’ll want to check out our conversations with Angelo Sisco and John Assaraf to help you destroy those blocks that are stopping your progress.

Our episode today with Erik Huberman of Hawke Media was a mini-class of 5-6 various topics all combined in one show. We talked about increasing lifetime value, about how venture funds work, equity deal lessons, the marketing we should be focused on, and building an agency, systems, and owning your audience. We share the vision with Erik, as there’s a lot of what we’ve done previously such as having an agency, and we like the fact that he’s not trying to create his own products, but is just staying in his lane.
We also talked about owning your own audience and bringing them somewhere where you can follow up with them as well as the idea of aspirational content where the content is built so it’s inherently sharable as that’s the content that people want to be shown. The content is what goes viral, not the sales page. We talk about how he is building sweat equity and brought in someone to view what he was doing, as there are probably some better deal structures out there. Erik has all these companies and basically crafted something where he can be his best self, which creates funds, books, and his own platform through scaling people. After you have listened, be sure to check out our chats with Charles Byrd and Sergei & Vadim Revzin to get your mind reeling with the opportunities behind venture funding and expanding your network for lucrative deals.

What’s up, Hustle & Flowchart community?! We’re back with another therapy session and moving forward we are not only upping the frequency of these shows but want to make it more focused. On today’s show, we are diving into one of our favorite topics, affiliate marketing. We’re talking about how, after listening to one of our most popular therapy sessions from last year, we revisited what we are doing in the business, applied the 80/20 rule to our actions, and are making the necessary adjustment moving forward to focus on what we really love doing best - the platform building and building the audiences, and once we’ve built the audiences, showing people how we did it and tools that we used to do it.
We also talk about some recent changes we made to our PodHacker membership, our love for our new studio and how it’s helped us to better manage our time, as well as a super cool Key Step Tutorial strategy and how we used it recently, promoting one of our favorite new tools, Conversion.ai. This is a great strategy that is not overwhelming to put in place, really targets those in your audience that are interested in what you are promoting, and is something that anything can do in their business. As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts as we appreciate you coming along with us on our journey! Don’t forget to check out our previous episodes where we discuss our affiliate marketing strategies: The Tools We Use For Affiliate Marketing and Unapologetic Affiliate Marketing Strategies.
“It really was a point where we actually had an ideal business model right there, and we were very close to it, where we didn’t have to do much. But we let it almost grow in ways that we didn’t want that load on us.” - Joe Fier

You are really going to love our show with JaMarr Johnson today, who is a true renaissance man. We covered so much ground in this one, and we love how JaMarr refers to himself as an entrepremedian. He talks about entertaining first and making it interesting and engaging. JaMarr did this perfectly on today’s show and we mention his book, Super-Connecting a lot, which you should definitely grab. We also chat about affiliate marketing and we love how he explains it simply as ‘recommending stuff.’
We also talk about the serenity prayer, reframing your emotions and the fears surrounding public speaking, and how to rewire your brain. JaMarr then talks about his connection with a cannabis company and the health side behind it. He has a proven track record of figuring out the wins all around and leveraging what someone already has going on, and he’s using his skills to leverage the processes, traffic, and infrastructure to make it all happen. After you’ve listened, be sure to check out our conversations with Steve Sims and Ken Coleman for more inspiration on how to get in front of the right people and the best ways to grow your network for fun and success.

We have a great show today with Joel Erway of The Webinar Agency. We’re big fans of Joel’s selling process and the fact that he simplified the selling process dramatically and put all the obvious pieces out there. His power offer is so simple where he is basically making a no-brainer offer saying he can build this for you, you can have it within 24 hours and it’s guaranteed to make you more money than you spend on it. He also discusses his application process to pre-qualify a lead. You don’t always want to put the price on the application and set any expectations, because once you get someone on the phone, you might be able to offer them even more.
You can use this process with affiliate offers and even a hybrid model, using it with potential rev share deals. With Joel’s method, you are getting the hottest prospects and are ready to solve their problems. It’s a way to extend that relationship, so it can be a great way to bring your best buyers to you. We also talk about having the MQL and SQL when building your offer, and how identifying folks ahead of time is super powerful. When you are done be sure to listen to our conversations with Jason Fladlien, a webinar and handling sales objections master, and Sam Bell, who discusses high converting webinar audiences and value-based strategies.

Alex Mandossian joins us on the show today and we really like his storytelling formula. It was even better to hear it in action and have him explain it as he went along in the content of the framework that he laid out. You can use this structure for everything, and the way he “sells” is the way we would sell. We tell stories that theoretically get people to buy from us but we never go for the close. He was explaining what people would miss out on, and towards the closing, he does it in a way where people are realizing they need to work with him, so it becomes their idea to work with him.
Alex also discussed the cost of inaction and using that in relation to the story is something that’s not used often but has great results. Part of what he does is have you picture possibilities and go through the motions with him, so it makes you feel like you can do this. You’ll hear Alex’s story structure of when/where, who is involved, what happened, then how and why this is relevant to you. You’ll also hear some great stories as only Alex can tell them, as well as some tips to other marketing icons through the years, as Alex brings his many years of knowledge to the show. If you liked this episode, you might also enjoy our chats with Sean Vosler for even more storytelling techniques and with C.J. Martin, who not only tells some great stories but talks about how to build a standout brand in a crowded market.

We rarely bring on guests that do a cold reach out to us, but Avi Arya is one of the rare guests who made it onto the show that way, and he did this by using the same video technique that he shared on this show to contact us. He is the first video outreach we ever brought on, and his video really stood out, over the approximate 30 requests we get on a daily basis. Avi covers a variety of video formats, and he managed to build a $126,500 who have been on his program which starts at his $1 webinar. He’s also got a huge following on Instagram and gives a ton of free value on there and Facebook. What intrigued us, is this is something we’ve been doing and we’ve never had a methodical process.
Avi also gave us so many additional ideas to use this style of video, and you could start with the videos we outline then go deeper on so many other videos with his catalog. Plus, you can start all of this using just your phone. The video is personally customized and it’s simple outreach that sends you to his YouTube channel. It doesn’t take a long time to create, and the reason he does this is that he wants to be with his family more. If you are not using video and leveraging these tools, this is like magic, and you need to harness it now to connect with people. After you have listened, be sure to listen to our chats with Shaina Weisinger and Gideon Shalwick as they dive into the keys to keep people watching your videos and the best tips for the highest engagement.
